1. Who's responsible for your data

• Account: email address, first name, profile photo (optional)
• Content you create: missions, rewards, activity history, statistics
• Space membership: households, shared houses or teams you join
• Technical identifiers: device ID, app version, operational logs
• Advertising identifier: for free-tier users, subject to your consent

3. Why, and on what legal basis (GDPR)

• Running the service (basis: contract performance) — powering the mission marketplace, the shop, the statistics.
• Security and abuse prevention (basis: legitimate interest) — detecting abnormal behavior, protecting accounts.
• Personalized advertising (basis: consent) — free-tier users who accept it only.
• Product usage measurement (basis: legitimate interest) — understanding which features are useful, in aggregate.

4. Who your data is shared with

We rely on subprocessors to run Clinchy:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage
• Google AdMob — ad delivery for the free tier
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription payment processing

These providers may host data outside the European Union; in that case, the transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

5. Permissions requested on your phone

• Notifications — for reminders and value-drop alerts.
• Calendar & Reminders (iOS) — to add a mission to your calendar; everything stays on your device.
• Photos — only to choose your profile picture.
• Ad tracking (App Tracking Transparency on iOS) — declining doesn't prevent you from using the app; only ads become non-personalized.

6. Advertising

The free tier shows banner and rewarded ads. Pro and Family subscribers see no ads at all. In Europe, a consent screen lets you choose, and change your mind anytime from the app's settings.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can request its deletion at any time from the Delete my account page.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, object to and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}. You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority (for France, the CNIL).

9. Children

Kid Mode 🧸 is a simplified display inside an adult's account: it does not create a separate account. Clinchy isn't intended for autonomous use by a minor under {{MIN_AGE}} years old; it's the parent who creates and administers the space.

11. This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies, uses no trackers and integrates no analytics tool — which is why it doesn't show you a consent banner. Only the host's standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp) may apply, outside our direct control.
