Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026. Written in plain English — because you have the right to understand what we do with your data.

1. Who's responsible for your data

The data controller is {{PUBLISHER_NAME}}, located at {{PUBLISHER_ADDRESS}}, reachable at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.

2. Data we collect

3. Why, and on what legal basis (GDPR)

4. Who your data is shared with

We rely on subprocessors to run Clinchy:

These providers may host data outside the European Union; in that case, the transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

5. Permissions requested on your phone

6. Advertising

The free tier shows banner and rewarded ads. Pro and Family subscribers see no ads at all. In Europe, a consent screen lets you choose, and change your mind anytime from the app's settings.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can request its deletion at any time from the Delete my account page.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, object to and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}. You may also file a complaint with your local data protection authority (for France, the CNIL).

9. Children

Kid Mode 🧸 is a simplified display inside an adult's account: it does not create a separate account. Clinchy isn't intended for autonomous use by a minor under {{MIN_AGE}} years old; it's the parent who creates and administers the space.

10. Security, changes, contact

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. This policy may evolve; the date at the top reflects the latest update. For any question: {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.

11. This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies, uses no trackers and integrates no analytics tool — which is why it doesn't show you a consent banner. Only the host's standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp) may apply, outside our direct control.
