⚠️ Compliance page
Delete your Clinchy account
App Clinchy, published by {{PUBLISHER_NAME}}. This page is publicly accessible, without login and without the app installed, in line with Apple's and Google's requirements.
Method 1 — from the app (fastest)
Open your Profile
From the main screen, tap your avatar at the top of the app.
Go to Settings
Then scroll down to the "Account" section.
Tap "Delete my account"
You may be asked to sign in again if your session is old, for security reasons.
Type "DELETE" and confirm
Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Method 2 — from the web (if you no longer have the app)
Fill out this form to request your account's deletion. We process requests within {{DELETION_SLA_DAYS}} days and send you a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
- Your account and its identifier
- Your profile and photo
- Your points, XP, streak and level
- Your mission and shop purchase history
- Your membership in every space
- Your preferences (theme, language, notifications)
What's kept, and why
Some data survives your account's deletion, for specific reasons:
- Shared space content: the collective history (completed missions, activity) stays visible to other members, but your name is replaced with "Someone" — we anonymize rather than punch holes in the rest of the group's history.
- Billing records: kept for the duration of the applicable legal and accounting obligation.
- Anonymized technical logs: kept for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Maximum retention period for this residual data: {{RETENTION_MONTHS}} months.
Deleting your Clinchy account does not cancel an ongoing Pro or Family subscription: Apple and Google keep billing it until it's cancelled separately.
On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Clinchy → Cancel Subscription.
On Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Clinchy → Cancel.
Are you the sole admin of a space?
Before deleting your account, think about your space: if you're its only administrator, appoint a successor (promote another member to admin from the space's settings) or delete the space yourself. Otherwise, other members could lose access to the shared history.
